SGA on Jaylen Brown’s approach versus Thunder: “He’s done a really good job of getting to the free-throw line, especially against us. I think it’s 14 twice.
So 28 free throws in two games? Pretty good job. The best players in the history of the game go to the free-throw line. It’s part of the game and most efficient way to score points, statistically”

Asked Paul Pierce about being embraced by the Celtics as a former player:
“When I was coming up, there’d be times when I’d always look up, and I’d see Bob Cousy, I’d see John Havlicek, JoJo White — so it's always been like that. And these guys will come to our practice also. And it was always open arms to the former players who helped build this place, who helped decorate this place. And that's what Celtic culture is – it lives on through our history, through our culture. And that's something that's always gonna be, no matter who's here, as splayers or coaches or owners, the former players who helped build this arena, they always will be invited back, no matter who's here.”

Brown is outscoring Kawhi by .3 PPG…
But Kawhi is 5 points above the league average efficiency and Brown is at -0.6. (TS%).
Kawhi’s advanced numbers are all better. I don’t think the small per game numbers edge matters with that context.
Dan Greenberg@StoolGreenie
Are we sure? What do you consider relevant? Just the advanced metrics or efficiency? Why are these not relevant in addition to the team context? Points: 28.5 (Jaylen) vs 28.2 (Kawhi) Rebounds: 7.0 (Jaylen) vs 6.4 (Kawhi) Assists: 5.1 (Jaylen) vs 3.6 (Kawhi) I saw you mention on/off and the Celts being good as a knock of sorts, but that doesn't mean Kawhi is a better player this year just because lineups without him don't do well in those minutes

@StoolGreenie He improves on something every single season. This is impressive
