I’ve been impressed for years when Ironman had a pro moto safety team pilot the IMWC in Kona. Idk if they do that anymore. But I do know they don’t do that for any other races globally.

As someone that spent nearly two decades as a moto photog at Ironman, Challenge & other triathlons world over, I’m absolutely gutted by what happened at Ironman Hamburg yesterday.

One live video. One non-endemic wire (Getty, AFP, etc). And skilled brand employees (one video, one still) capturing pro stills and video they can give partners and sell at a REASONABLE rate.
