@feral_soft_spot i try to finish everything at roughly the same render level, but then the next day i might see that some part of the piece didn’t work out as well as i wanted >:( and i can get stuck for a couple of hours, redrawing that part

@feral_soft_spot i like how many artists draw clean contours, but it seems too slow for me. though i have another issue, i can redraw the same spot a thousand times 😵‍💫

@koshwave Thats the painterly way, i find clean linearts very challenging, and even then super clean lineart looks flat and boring

@feral_soft_spot thanks! maybe it looks like that because i start paint general masses of color and volume, and then i define the form with contour lines. i can't draw a clean outline 😭

once every 10 years, i try use clip studio paint. but photoshop is too deeply wired into my brain, it’s just a different experience. but i do love the default csp brush settings. and my beloved lasso tool just feels better
