What sanctions can we bring against Russia that China won't help them to mitigate? What else can we do to help our neighbors in the Ukraine to retain their sovereignty? Our ability to answer these questions in the next few days will be pivotal. This aggression must not prevail.

@kot_2010 @GoLandIDE Yes. It should work. Could you please fill out a new ticket on our tracker with the IDE logs? Thank you.

Cisco is offering Splunk $20 billion... Unclear if they're trying to buy the company, or just renew their subscription for another year.

8. Noise Bottlenecks: Consuming online content makes us feel like we're learning, but 90% of the content is useless junk: small talk, clickbait, marketing. We're filling our heads with noise, which is drowning out signal. As such, we feel we're getting smarter as we get stupider.

The 8 year old is learning Python, and after a dealing with a syntax bug she asks: “If the computer knows I’m missing a semicolon here, why won’t it add it itself?” I don’t know. I really don’t know.

Astra Zeneca BioNTech/Pfizer Moderna ... Omicron I was really hoping to skip that last one. Thankfully symptoms are very mild so far. Hope it stays that way 🙏🏻. More details in the thread in case anybody is interested.

@pkese @CHBernasconiC your impression was right - it’s a toy language, will see you in few years to discuss why.

@CHBernasconiC Problem is, that it's hard to point to any one single thing and say, this is why F# is so good. At first it looks like a toy language, so it takes time to start appreciating it ... esp. with larger code bases.

@GoLandIDE I see you've moved the vendors folder to the top. Is it a feature or a bug? :)

The Thread Pool is fully re-written in managed code in .net 6 with a really nice new feature: it can now detect a famous "sync over async" anti-pattern when a thread pool is blocked on Task.Wait or Task.GetAwaiter().GetResult() to add more threads quicker to unblock the app.
