@TheCheeseKing__ I find it hard to believe he is smart when he believes that the vaccines had tracking in them when that technology doesn't exist (or even close and prob never) but it is on our phones that everyone already has so there is not upside.

I fear that his off-field beliefs and the scourge of time have made people forget what an insanely special QB Aaron Rodgers was from 2009-2021. Very much an argument to be the most talented passer of all time.

The Bucks didn’t move up in the draft lottery and thus will have the 10 overall pick. Not the ideal situation for a team at a crossroads.

This is truly unfortunate: In 2022, JetBlue had agreed to merge with Spirit Airlines in a $3.8 billion transaction. This was intended to end Spirit's imminent bankruptcy and employ the majority of Spirit's 17,000 employees. One year later, in 2023, the US Department of Justice sued to block the merger, saying it would reduce competition and drive up fares. Fast forward another 2 years to today, and Spirit has officially gone bankrupt, ceased operations, and 17,000 people are now unemployed. And, tens of thousands of Spirit passengers are now "stranded." The worst part? The "reduced competition" that the DOJ thought they were avoiding by blocking the transaction has only gotten worse. There quite literally is no competition in the space anymore. This will go down as one of the biggest transactional failures in US history.

@PaulBoris_ @kpottermn Also let’s be clear. Jet Blue isn’t doing well and hasn’t been doing well. There is no guarantee that two airlines not doing well combined together would do well and we might be on this same stump here.

@PaulBoris_ @kpottermn Some of those frontline reps would have been the victims of synergy. You didn’t include customer service there but they are part of frontline and likely most would have stayed on but would have been cut down over time.

This is making the rounds again with Spirit on the brink of collapse for some good ol fashioned dunking. Reminder that two things can be true at once: 1. Blocking JetBlue’s acquisition of Spirit was a mistake. 2. Things could (and likely would) be far worse for the combined airline if JetBlue had been allowed to do so.
