Hey @AuronMacintyre and @AcademicAgent_X , how does the current experience in Iran impact your understanding/practice of elite theory?

This isn't a flex. The War Powers Act [sic] is unconstitutional, but Presidents ignore it because they want unconstitutional unilateral power, not because they have fealty to their oath of office.
Ken Gardner@KenGardner11
I am amazed at how many people don't know that every single POTUS since 1973 has questioned the constitutionality of the War Powers Act. And every single one of them has basically ignored it. This didn't start with Trump and it won't end with his successor(s).

This is the only way to explain the utter, barking insanity of attacking Iran. The mullahs are from the medieval times, but they don't have a single warship, aircraft or missile that can get one-fourth of the way to the New Jersey shores. So they pose no threat whatsoever to the military security of the American Homeland. Yet the Donald is supposed to be the paragon of America First over here, not Empire First over there. What the hell is he thinking, or perhaps not?!

@WayneBusse1 @RealJamesWoods I lived in Brooklyn in the 1980s and distinctly remember the call to prayer being broadcast over loudspeakers on Fridays.

Well, that didn’t take long…
Vivid.🇮🇱@VividProwess
Residents in this area of Manhattan, New York, are completely shocked to hear an Islamic call to prayer blasting on high-volume speakers as they walk down the street. "I never thought in my life I'd hear this in the middle of New York." Unbelievable.
