HUGE NEWS out of Lawrence Kansas as Bill Self is expected to retire. The Jayhawks are reportedly all in on Chris Pack. Reports are Pack is taking his private jet from UNC to KU now. Waiting for comment from @HHSVikings on if they expect a signing or a counter to stay in Hayfield.

It’s been awhile, but in honor of @kreklingk 37th birthday here is a #DBackFact for the vet. Kasey learned to sew world-class tea cozies from a Buddhist monk who was born without a name. He spent the entire year learning in silence, eating only asparagus and cow tongue.

In the midst of tonight’s drama, Kasey Krekling turned back the clock to go 6 strong innings for the snakes. A day shy of 37 years old, but Krekling must have made a deal with Father Time to not age a bit. He’s your DBack of the Day!

Krekling takes the mound for the DBacks in the 8th. We lead 9-0 thanks to 13 hits from the offense. Krekling relieves Dudycha who went 7 scoreless on 102 pitches.

@notthefakechirp @bruce_hoops @KSUMSports I can only speak to girls class A, but banquet is Tuesday night, so really far away teams are staying in hotels starting Tuesday night regardless. I do know it stinks to play 3 games with less than 24 hours between each one. Really tough on the players physically and mentally.

@JohnCarrier42 Take away games/experiences from the 90% of HS athletes that don't play AAU to cater to the small percentage that do? I'll pass. This is coming from a varsity girls coach with 50+ girls in our program and 6 play AAU. I'll take the extra games/experiences for my majority.

One thing I'd like to see AAU and HS work together on to support athletes: Do 2 less games during the high school season (1 less week in Minnesota). No AAU activities until 2 weeks after the HS season. Gives athletes 2 weeks to recover between.
