im going to share a little more than I usually do, because if it reaches even one person who needs it, it’ll be worth it. i found out today that I may be furloughed. Everything just… stopped. The noise, the momentum, the plans. I sat in that silence for hours…thinking about my time here in the Tang Gang, the art I’ve made, the people I’ve met, and most of all, my boys… growing up while I try to build something that might not last. The weight of time hit me like a blow. How fragile it all is. How fast it disappears. And then the existential dread came. Not gentle. Not poetic. A tidal wave. My chest locked up. I couldn’t breathe. Shaking. Hyperventilating. The kind of fear that scrapes you raw. And in the middle of that collapse, something cut through the noise a voice I’ve known my whole adult life: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:.” The world can turn to ash in an instant. The chase for riches, for security, for control…it’s a fragile illusion. Not wrong, but hollow without purpose. And everything…everything … is hollow without Him. tonight, I’m holding on to that truth. And I’m grateful for this journey. For the art. For the laughter. For the way you’ve all walked beside me. the destination was never the point. gn gn, gang – grav
