They’ve always been 1000x too expensive. That’s why you only buy them at the dollar store, where they continue to be $1 for the most part. I’ve never bought a card over $2. Never will. The day inflation tips them over $2 as a baseline, I will stop buying them forever.

People have been lambasting this as superfluous & unnecessary, but such people have no imagination. Artistry is a beautiful thing. Craftsmanship, creativity, & tireless effort. We need more of this, not less. We need artisanship in every facet of life. Makes life worth living.

They were doing this LONG before the pandemic. The bank I worked for wouldn’t let us hire extra tellers even if there was a line out the door 5 days a week. Didn’t care. Why put the customers first when you could negate one or two salaries at every branch & stress out the staff?

the biggest enshittification that ive seen post-2020 is every customer-facing job running off a skeleton crew cause every company realized that they can *technically* survive off of it and increase their profits in the process

Had enough of what—proper representation in Parliament? And let’s be honest: only an infinitesimal number of people are doing this. I’d wager most who wrote this out and took a photo never even put it in a mailbox afterwards. Probably ended up in their trash. Zero follow through.

Number is obviously a bit inflated, but the pool is admittedly gargantuan and literally on the oceanfront. That means dealing with all the shoreline complications of such a refurb. It’s not just some rinky-dink public dunk in the middle of a field.

Never stop saying "dozen" and "half dozen". Never stop using the word you read in an old novella. Never stop using your regional jargon. Don't succumb to an internationalized English stripped of its whimsy and romanticism in the name of streamlining global commerce.

I don't understand the point of using the term "dozen". It means 12, so just say 12? It's even worse when people say or type "half a dozen". Just say 6 or six.

Lunacy. That character was perfection, & Sally was firing on all cylinders “the whole time”. To argue otherwise is to completely misunderstand the story. Daniel was a dithering ‘artist’ who couldn’t hold a job. She did what she had to do, & openly admits that he’s a great father.

In Mrs. Doubtfire, Sally Field’s character was just so insufferable that it was insane. The worst ex wife ever. She divorced Robin Williams character simply because he cared about his kids more than she did. He tried to make them happy in every way he could. Never cheated on her.
