@SJY_journo Thanks for confirmation of the scorer, Sam. You gave the line-up pre-match and as Kibble was the fifth name on that list that is what I went for, correctly as it turned out. I should have stayed for the final on Saturday but was back at home in Gloucester by the time it began.

@PeterSimmoYNWA I went to Berlin by train to watch Liverpool play a friendly against Hertha in 1973; and in 1992 I travelled to Tromsø inside the Arctic Circle to watch another Liverpool pre-season friendly.

Where is the furthest you’ve travelled to watch your football team? Not very far for me, Wembley only twice but my dad went to Germany, Rome and Hampden Park watching Liverpool back in the day. Give me your footy travels, people. Any club, any level. 🌍 ✈️ ⛴️ 🚂 ⚽️
