I would argue that Talbot has been better and better as the game's gone along. I know that the Rangers are owning the Wings on special teams, but other than the first goal, Talbot has done everything he can to help the Wings stay in this one.

Detroit doesn't play again until Thursday, so assigning Holl and Watson to Grand Rapids buys the Red Wings a couple days of cap space accrual at the very least. Fischer and/or Petry could retake those lineup spots, or Holl and/or Watson could very well be recalled again. #LGRW

Tonight's #LGRW game recap: Detroit had some good pressure going but Shesterkin was a wall. A couple sudden goals & a clamped-down 3rd period from the Rangers completely killed Detroit's momentum. Power play is an early concern, not at all a threat right now. Rematch Thursday.
