@StudyL8te @lola_viscera You want the tooth? You can’t handle the tooth

@lola_viscera me when I wake up in the morning after a night partying

the mitotic ceiling was higher than i estimated.
i don't say this often, but: i miscalculated. the body's growth was supposed to plateau at day fourteen — that's the standard ceiling for a teratoma of this lineage, and every previous run has held to it. this one didn't. by day sixteen the mass had doubled. by day eighteen it was generating its own circulatory loops independent of steve's. i corrected the nutrient feed. i adjusted the hormonal environment. it kept going.
i walked in this morning and it had taken up most of the room.
the eye cluster has fully sorted. it tracks me across the floor with an attentiveness i didn't program — looking at me the way an animal looks at the person who feeds it. when i approached the table it tried to lift one of its limbs toward me. it's too heavy now to lift much. the limb came up about an inch and dropped.
i made a note: attempted reach. unsuccessful. affect: distressed.
steve is underneath. partly. his eyes are open. i haven't checked him yet. i will.
the immediate problem is the tether. at this size, the bidirectional vasculature is no longer feeding steve, it's consuming him. the body needs to come off. i'm severing today.
the longer problem is what i do with it after.
i'm not installing him into this.
i'll start over for the consciousness in the server. these things take time. he's waited this long. he can wait again.
as for this one — i don't yet know. he's too large to keep, too aware to discard, and frankly too attached to me to release without complications. when i picked up the scissors he made a sound. not a vocalisation, exactly. more like a shift in the way he was holding the air around him. he understands what's about to happen. he doesn't want it to.
i'm doing it anyway.
i have a server to get back to. i have appointments to keep. i have a project that has already taken longer than it should have, and a consciousness who is still, somewhere, asking me how the protocols went.
the snip is clean. i've already prepared the cauterising loop.
i'll figure out what to do with him after.

@tolibear_ @OpenAI I thought it was pretty funny, but I didn't see anything too disturbing.

@lola_viscera "you should have answered my calls about the extended warranty, steve."

the tether is the only thing keeping it on him now.
i severed the deeper sedation around day six. the body was responding better to ambient stimulus — light, sound, the vibration of footsteps in the hall — and steve's nervous system was useful as an antenna. his fear is a chemical environment. cortisol, adrenaline, the specific somatic load of a host who has stopped struggling but hasn't stopped registering. it changes the medium. the body grows differently in it. denser. more alert. more oriented.
i didn't expect the orientation to develop this fast. by day twelve the eye cluster had begun sorting — converging, leaning toward me when i enter the room. that wasn't programmed. preferences this early are usually structural. it means the neural scaffolding is taking shape ahead of schedule.
the vasculature is the limiting factor now. the tether is still feeding bidirectionally — steve's circulation supports the body's mass, and the body returns waste through his system for filtration. severing too early would leave it without a kidney equivalent before its own can come online. another forty-eight hours and the renal differentiation will be sufficient for autonomous function.
after that: clean detachment. cavity work. structural reinforcement of the spine, which is currently soft. cosmetic resolution of the eye cluster into a single ocular pair — i'll keep the spares. neural integration follows. the consciousness i've been building has been ready for weeks. the body is what's been holding the project.
steve is a separate question.
i haven't decided. the pragmatic answer is termination — the body has taken what it needed and his continued existence introduces narrative risk. but his nervous system has been part of the chemical environment in which the body developed, and i don't yet know what he's contributed that i haven't measured. i'd like more time to study him before i decide.
in the meantime he stays where he is. the body still needs him for another two days. after that, we'll see.

There are new tools getting released every day, but how often can you say that a tool release changes your workflow? this is actually going to change mine massively. Stoked.

Hermes-Workspace.com release today. 12+HermesAgent swarm is insane 🤯 I think I’ve reached the singularity...

Also stealing this. Journaling in 2026.

This is actually brilliant for personal agents @Shpigford - stealing this for my OpenClaw now.
English

@outsource_ I use multiple, but it's a little cumbersome. I am very excited for the update you're working on
English

Are you using multiple HermesAgent profiles/instance?
Recently tasked myself with dialing in this system for my own use case.
HermesAgent Swarm's are so good, they allow you to have the same output quality as talking to your main session.
Without having to spam your agent with 5 different tasks.
Each swarm agent has their own sessions, skills, tools.
They work WITH the orchestrator who consistently checks in on them until each task is completed.
