Hey folks, I know I haven't been active lately but I have some news; I decided to leave Microsoft after 21 years. My last day is tomorrow August 15. Starting as consultant in 2002 in NL and ending working on decentralized identities here in the US.

Recommendations for light, enjoyable palate cleanser novels wanted. I’ve spent all of 2023 reading Robert Caro’s biography of LBJ and I’m about to finish. It’s so good but I could use something less intellectually demanding for my next read!

@threddyrex I was out in my Ford Mach-E today. It behaved well, especially in Whisper mode, when it is not aggressive when accelerating.

@SteveSyfuhs Grew up in Canada. I drove in snow all the time. I avoid driving in snowy Seattle. I can do it, but the rest of y'all can't!

I learned to drive in the snow in the great white north. Because of that I made the conscious decision that as best I can swing it all my cars should have AWD or 4WD for traction. As such, here's my instructions for how to safely drive through the snow in Seattle: Don't.

@nahrissarush Had the same near death experience last week. Brushing my teeth at 11:48pm and suddenly remembered that I put off doing the crossword until "I had time". But, even though I finished at 12:03, it still counted! 524 day streak preserved!
