@43081j There are issues with it and virtualization, especially in containers in wsl. It affects live reloading as well. But for the most part no longer have issues with straight WSL 2 and up-to-date ubuntu

is fs watch in node known to not work with WSL2? 🤔 various github issues suggest it should work but i just can't get any events to fire 😞

Astro DB -- launching next week -- has a generous free tier and always will. 1. This isn't an adoption tactic for us, it's essential to our entire model that as many Astro users can access DB as possible. Locking that down would leave us worse off (think GitHub). 2. Our DB architecture is more efficient by design (vs. Planetscale or RDS). Cheap, scalable databases without the 5+ sec cold-start wakeup nonsense. More on all of this next week, but yea... bizarre timing to be launching a hosted database service next week with an almost exact 1:1 difference of vision + execution 😅
