@ABurningtoaster Cryo is a map on the Marathon ship. It’s just a section of it though. We need more maps on the Marathon ship at the same caliber of difficulty or harder than Cryo imo

I don't think there should be a whole map dedicated to the marathon. Keep in mind how cryo felt to play. That's miniscule compared to the whole ship. Giving up parts of it or different compartments to loot would be wonderful. But not a whole map +

Season 4 needs to be the “Forsaken” of Marathon. - Arena Mode (FFA, TDM, S&D, 3v3, 6v6) - Firing Range - Social Hub - Marathon Ship Map - Ranked Rework (New scoring system to incentivize fighting, Top 500, loot incentives to keep replaying and hold your rank) - Clan system - Full rework of weapon balancing

Ranked already incentivize fighting, especially in higher ranks, due the high amount of score it requires for you at to achieve at least, to gain RP after exfill. I don't believe you can hit 60k score (3 pinnacle players) just by key room drops (not like the jingle wouldn't make other teams to make a move). Being able to rank up from lower ranks just by key room drops, or just by avoiding other teams and taking scraps they left is valid, and justified strat. It's extraction shooter, not battle royale (even though it does feel like one sometimes). What ranked really needs, is a requirement to ALWAYS use ranked sponsor kit (all items provided fragile, but still do count for gear score if taken from enemy runner). Just like right now, being able to buy these (even though once a day) is great addition... their issue is that what they provide is based on your current rank. What needs to change, is that the only difference in between these kits is a holo tag they provide, they are free and infinite (can use only in ranked), and are close to be the same for everyone. For example, it's always purple backpack and shields, random rarity of cores and implants (excluding prestige), and the only thing that changes "daily" are weapons. Let's say today is WSTR (all blue mods) and Volley (all blue mods) as featured weapons... Tomorrow is Longshot (green mods) and Copperhead (purple mods). This way, ranked would be much more even field for everyone imo. Other way, i would do it, is just completely random weapons, in which primaries are always all blur mods, and power weapons (snipes and shotguns) are all green mods. @mcneemem When I learned that the Compiler is considered a mid level enemy in the Marathon trilogy wants me to see a real high level threat boss fight in the future. I just know Cryo Archive is a stepping stone to more difficult and complex content.

@kruzer I’m excited to see what other end-game content they’re working on. The lore for Marathon makes me yearn for more like the early days of Destiny. There’s so much mystery to this universe that I just want more to explore 😂

@ferowaw_ I had more fun in Ranked this season than Cryo personally. It was fun without cheaters, I just hit Pinnacle 1 already and theres no leaderboard or incentive to play past that.

Marathon is most likely taking the backseat for me the rest of this season. Season 2 added a lot of QoL/progression improvements and a few new meta weapons. But in terms of gameplay and replayability it's the same or worse than last season. A lot of bugs have been unfixed since launch still. Recon is still the best runner in the game. 90% of Prestige weapons/mods are still useless. There's no incentive to grind Ranked. Cryo is the same as season 1 but buggier/laggier. I don't think this PvE mode moves the needle for the core playerbase that has been investing hours into the game. I hope it can attract new players to the game but I'm doubtful. I understand there were layoffs and there's probably an adjustment happening in the studio but feels like the communication has slowed tremendously and updates/fixes aren't as frequent this season. Still looking forward to playing Season 3 👍
