A Russian man was serving 11 years in prison for murdering a woman. In 2023, Putin let him out to go fight in Ukraine. This man escaped the military and then he murdered two more people and was sent back to prison. In 2025, Putin let him out again to go fight in Ukraine. He then escaped the military again and has murdered two more people in Russia's Far East.

🚨IOC statement 1/3 Skeleton pilot Vladylsav Heraskevych not allowed to participate at Milano Cortina 2026 after refusing to adhere to the IOC athlete expression guidelines Having been given one final opportunity, skeleton pilot Vladylsav Heraskevych from Ukraine will not be able to start his race at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games this morning. The decision followed his refusal to comply with the IOC’s Guidelines on Athlete Expression. It was taken by the jury of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) based on the fact that the helmet he intended to wear was not compliant with the rules. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has therefore decided with regret to withdraw his accreditation for the Milano Cortina 2026 Games. Despite multiple exchanges and in-person meetings between the IOC and Mr Heraskevych, the last one this morning with IOC President Kirsty Coventry, he did not consider any form of compromise. The IOC was very keen for Mr Heraskevych to compete. This is why the IOC sat down with him to look for the most respectful way to address his desire to remember his fellow athletes who have lost their lives following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The essence of this case is not about the message, it is about where he wanted to express it.

@MarketPowerUA Пласке розуміння світу. Російська музика, мова і культура закликали Путіна і росіян загалом "асвабаждать" за доходи від газу, нафти і від музики. І трубу треба було різати і російську музику і російську мову. Це все грані одного - Російської імперії.

А я думав, що ППО всю ніч збивало доходи русні з продажу газу через нашу газотранспортну систему. За 2013-2025 роки вони отримали ≈100 млрд доларів з нашою допомогою. А тепер порівняйте це з музикою, яка принесла в бюджет рашки в кращому випадку мільйонів 10-20 доларів за весь час, 3 2013 по 2025. Так що годі маніпулювати і перекидати відповідальність з нашого уряду на громадян. P.S. Балашов був правий, коли на майдані закликав перерізати трубу путіну. Але це зробили лише 1 січня 2025 року...

@PKurzin The only Russian advantage over EU is the resolve. EU needs that and win the war without the battle - sanction Russia to the stone age, release Russian frozen assets to Ukraine, block and seize Russian shadow fleet tankers in the Baltic sea.

Russia spends ~40% of its entire GDP on military spending. And it still cannot complete its military objectives in Ukraine. Yet, suddenly Putin is now making threats to all of Europe. A continent with a collective GDP of $19.9 bn (10x + of Russia's), a population of 500 million, and 1.4 million troops to whatever Russia's is right now. And Europe's not even remotely in a wartime footing. The point? That if you actually want to compare the two sides, you must put them in similar settings. And which once done, exposes just why Putin is sticking to threats, but not actions. Europe needs to wake up - and comments like Putin's, only help while hurting him.

I think it's kind of depressing that the very top selling Real Time Strategy games of all time are still Age of Empires 2 (1999) and StarCraft (1998). Has there been no huge improvements in real time strategy in 26 years?
