What the duck were they thinking? The near “love scene” between Lea Thompson (65 today) and Howard the Duck is played almost completely straight. It confused the hell out of younger audiences, and still ranks as one of the most bizarre moments in cinema history.

Rob Vaughn was loving how into it the crowd was at The Joe tonight:
"I got to say this too before we go. The crowd was awesome tonight, like awesome. They were into it, it was electric, and it got better and better as the game goes. So now we need that on steroids next week. I don't know who the heck's coming in. I need that energy. Let's make it 8,000 people this time and see what happens, let's get weird."

It’s the dumbest rule in college baseball. If you are hosting a regional you are always the home team. You should never be the visitors in your own stadium.

Head coach Rob Vaughn on intentionally walking Colin Brueggemann to load the bases in the bottom of the ninth:
"Like the risk to walking somebody intentionally in that spot is man, like now he's gotta throw strikes. I don't worry about this dude doing that. The bigger the moment, the slower his heartbeat. He just executed pitch after pitch in big-time spots. And so for us, we thought the matchup favored us a tick."
