@idahodom1@brian_lenney Anyone who thinks that a Convention of States aimed at federal spending, federal term limits and federal overreach will somehow jeopardize 2A rights has no understanding of the Article V process.
@brian_lenney 1. Bankrupt the country
2. Get useful idiots to end the constitution and have a redo.
By the time the shit hits the fan it will be too late to go back. You’re about to betray every 2A supporter you ever had. Which lobby group is demanding your yes vote?
I fully support both the U.S. and Idaho State Constitution. Which is exactly why I'll GLADLY vote for a Convention of States to pursue a Balanced Budget Amendment.
For over five years, people have been telling me I'm not "supposed to" support this. Not supposed to.
But I took an oath to support and defend those constitutions. The same documents that spell out this exact process. But sure, let's pretend that part doesn't exist because it's inconvenient.
I support it. I'll vote for it. And honestly the gymnastics people do trying to explain why the oath I took doesn't mean what it says has been pretty fun to watch.
Ok, not - have at it!
Mark Levin calls out state legislators who vote "no" on Convention of States. If they really support the Constitution, they must support its Article V convention process too! youtu.be/Ar6Odw34aOk
The federal government works very hard to enhance federal power over time. That is obvious. They do so by pushing the limits of the Constitution. Rita is absolutely correct that we need new amendments to restrict the on-going power grabs by the federal government and limit their power. Just as our founders intended.
Article V gives Congress the power to "call" a convention to propose amendments. Doesn't that mean that Congress is in control of it? NO! Here's why. And to learn more, visit conventionofstates.com
@COSProject Historical precedent is key to how all areas of the Constitution are applied to everyday life. This applies to Article V as well, and it means that the States will control who are the delegates and what are the topics discussed at a Convention of States.
Article V doesn't say that the states are in charge of an Article V convention, so how do we know that's how it works? Listen to this video to the end for the answer, and learn more at conventionofstates.com
@COSProject The Constitution empowers the states to limit and control what is discussed at a Convention of States. The Federal government has no power to interfere.
Have you been told that the states can't limit the subject matter of an Article V convention? Better listen to this!

Convention of States is a great fit for @elonmusk . Take a close look Elon. Also, you can safely ignore the ChickenLittles claiming that a convention of states would change the Constitution. This is completely false. A convention of states would propose amendments, which would be restricted to term limits, fiscal responsibility and limiting federal government power.
It's amazing how people reply to Mark's suggestion and express their concern that the Constitution would be altered by a Convention of States as outlined in Article V. This is false. A Convention of States would have no power to alter the current Constitution in any way. It can only propose amendments to the Constitution, which must then be approved by three-fourths of the State's legislatures to ever be added to the Constitution.
I’d encourage Elon Musk to read my book, The Liberty Amendments, and get involved in the Convention of States movement. They address many of the concerns about government he has raised. And they provide a realistic avenue for advancing constitutional government. A third party is a dead end or worse.

For over 10 years, our North Carolina grassroots army has been building support across the state for an Article V Convention to propose amendments that will make permanent reforms to the federal government, imposing common-sense fiscal restraints, putting more limits on federal power, and setting term limits for career politicians and bureaucrats. Nearly 100,000 North Carolinians have signed the petition. The NC House has passed the resolution 3 times. We now look for the NC Senate to do its part under the leadership of Senate President Pro Temp Phil Berger.

Despite continued growth of the national debt and federal government overreach, JBS continues to align with far Left organizations to fight against legitimate use of the Constitution (Article V) to partially restore state and local powers. Convention of States is the best solution available to rein in excessive Federal government power.
What do the John Birch Society, Eagle Forum, Common Cause, and Planned Parenthood have in common? They fear an Article V convention! David Horowitz explains the far-left origins of the Anti-Article V talking points. conventionofstates.com/news/david-hor…
8/ The Founders understood that centralized power corrupts. They gave states the lead for a reason. Let’s honor that vision: cut federal spending, empower states, and restore the balance that made America thrive. Who’s with me?
🧵 1/ Until the 1930s, state and local governments outspent the federal government—combined. In 1900, states and localities handled most public services, from schools to roads. Federal spending was a measly 2.7% of GDP, while state and local was higher.
A Convention of States is the only practical way to curtail ever-expanding federal power. The fear mongers saying that a Convention of States would have no limits are either ignorant or liars. Anyone looking at the COS legislation in the states where it has passed would quickly see that.
In Texas, liberty never expires! Congratulations to the Texas Senate for passing our Article V application again, with no expiration date, for a state-led convention to propose amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on Washington, limit its power, and set term limits for career politicians! youtube.com/watch?v=WrXdeb…#txleg#txlege#texas#cosproject#conventionofstates#termlimits
Rep. @ZachNunn has long been a supporter of the movement to call a limited-purpose Article V convention to reduce the size and scope of the federal government.
