@reportermike @TheCounter My hunch is they left my name out -- it's in the written copy -- because no one can pronounce Stabiner unless they know me. Sometimes people tell me how they say it as though I might want to reconsider, I guess.

But then we learned that May 20 is the last day at @TheCounter. Can anyone make sense of that? I can’t. Too busy contemplating a staff’s worth of lost opportunity, and mourning the next extraordinary story from a talented and tenacious editorial staff.

There were evocative photos from @sami_helou, a frequent collaborator, set into a visual narrative by @tal_moore and @triciavuongg. It was as unique a piece as I’ve worked on, but then, lots of Counter coverage qualified as unique.

A week ago, @_sabew chose @TheCounter for a general excellence award and said we “set a new bar for excellence in this category.”

I joined @TheCounter as West Coast editor in 2019, adding restaurant stories to the mix. They helped us win a @_sabew general excellence award – but hours later we learned our last day is May 20. ‘Blindsided’ pretty much sums it up for this talented group.

Correct. You will need to book your second dose appointment through Carbon Health, the city location platform.

@CarbonHealth @gdpuhara @lapublichealth @LACity You said earlier we'd be auto-booked. Now you're saying people have to book their own appts? Or are you in fact booking time slots for individuals? Please let it be the latter.

This message will include appointment details and a rescheduling link.
