@ktdu33 @arenella1 The point is most of us can get to Maine and Mississippi. We can load up the car and spend a long weekend or school vacation in Biloxi or Bangor. We can’t just pop over to Spain or Italy like you can. It’s just not practical. We also don’t have the vacation time.

Gail, you are right...NATO is meant for defense. I’m not saying it should be used here. Even in the Iraq War 2003, it wasn’t a NATO mission...members were divided, some joined the US, others refused. But the point is the shift...back then, the US could still act and some alignment followed. Now, alignment itself is uncertain from the start. That is not just disagreement, it is a loss of momentum. As they say...‘When the center cannot hold, things fall apart.’
