@BreeSolstad Do not pray using vain repetition

There is a witches convention coming to town and there’s an internal debate amongst a group at my Church. Half of us want to go the convention to pray outside it with Rosary prayers & hymns. The other half are fearful & say it could put us in spiritual danger. What do you say?

@sheilatebra Every school should provide free lunches and water to every kid who wants one. Period. We pay enough taxes to provide that for the kids and schools make enough money. It should be priority.

Anonymous I’m a school nurse. We have a rule. Kids without lunch money get a cold cheese sandwich. Nothing else. It’s policy. This boy came in one Wednesday. Sixth grader. Stomach pain he said. I’ve been doing this twenty years. I know real stomach pain and I know hunger. “When did you last eat?” He looked at the floor. “Yesterday lunch.” Sent him to the cafeteria with a note. Told them to give him a full hot meal. Pasta. Salad. Milk. The works. Cafeteria lady looked at my note. Looked at me. Gave him the tray without a word. He ate like he hadn’t seen food in days. Probably hadn’t. Came back to my office after. “Am I in trouble?” “For what?” “For eating.” “That’s what food is for.” Started keeping granola bars, peanut butter crackers, juice boxes in my bottom drawer. For kids who come in with headaches that are really hunger. Stomachaches that are really empty. I’m not supposed to. Technically against policy. Don’t care. Told my principal once. She looked at me for a long moment..... Opened her desk drawer. Showed me her stash. Crackers. Fruit snacks. Applesauce. “What drawer?” she said. We never spoke of it again. That sixth grader is in high school now. Came to find me last spring. “I just wanted you to know I’m okay. And that I remembered. I always will.” He volunteers at a food bank on weekends. Has since he was thirteen. Best granola bars I ever bought.

Looking back, it's crazy how much hate @TimTebow endured for being relentlessly earnest & unashamed about his faith. In reality, he was just ahead of the curve. Look at his life now: -Caring for special needs children -Rescuing kids from s*x slavery We need more Tebows.

Take a look at this picture: Is it a woman, or a man dressed as a woman? People got fired or reprimanded for calling Rachel Levine a man—but in reality, he is a man. Time to return to reality. If someone wants to dress as the opposite sex, that's their right. But forcing others to play along? That's not a right—it's how you dismantle a society.

Regardless of where you stand on today’s events, this is where we are. I am thinking of and praying for the Iranian people who have endured so much for so long, for civilians across the region who have lived under the weight of war and its constant threat for too long, and for our brave U.S. troops and service members.
