It is okay to mourn the friendships/relationships you tried to nourish. It is okay to be sad about people leaving or about leaving yourself. It is okay, in general, to be sad about things lost or things that feel lost because they won't occur. It's okay to be sad sometimes.

More picayune by far, "alleged laptop"? I mean, you can make an unproven allegation that it's Hunter Biden's laptop, but 'alleged laptop' suggests you haven't yet definitely established whether the device is really a laptop, which seems a fairly straightforward proposition.

I genuinely can't figure out what "emails sent to [someboy's] laptop" means. "Emails sent to an address that some email client on that laptop was configured to receive" is the closest I can guess but the difference there isn't really subtle.

Just passed 2 dudes going the opposite way on the sidewalk and we executed "the dance" flawlessly and it got me thinking about this unspoken but ironclad ritual among males, and all the rules that run underneath them.
