Just a diplomat. In geopolitics, this is a signal. A reflection of Kenya's strategic interests and priorities. Anyone with half a brain knows why: Ruto and team were heading to the USA to be treated like children by Trump the following week. Clearly they didn't want to upset Trump by supporting South Africa's G20. He'd have cancelled them. It would be a tactical blunder for Ramaphosa to reward Kenya with his presence.
