1. I have been hearing of WAPCO, the cement factory in Ewekoro since my childhood. That company has been mining LIMESTONE all over the Yewa axis of Ewekoro, Ibese etc. Dangote and Bua have since joined. Everyday you see hundreds of heavy duty trucks carrying tonnes of cement across from that axis to all parts of the country, mostly to the North. Practically all the trucks are driven by Abokis. The major players are Abokis. Through their activities the demography of those areas have been altered over time as the places is gradually looking like towns in Gombe, a veritable breeding ground for terrorist cells. What is the benefit to the indigenous people of those lands? Rent collection. Some opportunists, a very insignificant percentage of the population have been making money which goes into their pockets. Some Chiefs, Obas, Politicians and Civil servants must be making money too, an insignificant percentage of the population Whereas the activities of these companies have been thoroughly destroying the environment, creating future ecological disasters for these places. Their trucks are permanently destroying the roads. They are pollution the atmosphere all around and envelopimg the whole of the areas thereby reducing the life expectancy of the poor indigenous people. Farming has been suspended in most parts and poverty took over for the majority. 2. All over Abeokuta, in every corner of the city and its outskirts you see Quarry activities happening. They are mining GRANITE. The roads are permanently full of heavy duty trucks carrying tonnes of granite all over the place. Our youths in the villages have been turned to rent collectors, Agberos chasing trucks everywhere The environment is getting damaged because many of these activities aren't regulated. Corruption in official quarters assure anybody his quarry site to be anywhere. 3. In Ijebu-igbo and environs everywhere is Quarry operations. They are mining GRANITE. 4. In the J4 axis of Ijebu-East LGA I am told that it is mining all the way. The are mining GOLD. Most of the mining are illegal and done by Abokis and Chinese. Some people are making money and they are okay with that even at the risk of future ecological disasters. 5. As wee speak, Dangote is planning SEAPORT somewhere in the deep waters of the State. In this same Ogun State. My people will be rent collectors. 6. There is going to be Deep seaport in Ondo and there is one already in Lekki. What are the roles of our people in all of these? Rent collection. A few people are making money. We are not even sure of jobs for our youths in these places. Yet the population is pouring into Yoruba land from everywhere to compete with our poverty-ravages people. 7. My people are doing prayers and fasting on the Expressway, another location where Indigenous people were displaced from farm lands and their ancestral roots. Abeokuta- Sagamu and Lagos-Ibadan Expressways are having more and more factories, most of them owned by Chinese and non-Yoruba entrepreneurs. Our Chiefs and Obas are the ones selling hundreds of acres of land to Chinese to build factories where the Obas and Chiefs are figure head "Board Chairmen". It's all about Rent Collection, glorified Agberos. When the Chinese finish building those factories they will turn them into labour camps for our people to work their hearts out for pittance. Our leaders don't care. Something is very wrong here. Are we thinking at all? #WeHaveMissedRoad #Igbimoomoyoruba #ThinkYorubaFirst © Adedamola Adetayo

LAGOS STATE - A COLLECTION OF ANCIENT ANCESTRAL LANDS. There are evil manipulators and some idiots who think they can talk or write us out of our own history and inheritance. Dey play!!! Our Elders say when the child is unlucky to have missed being fed with history he can't also miss being schooled in stories from those who know history. His duty is to piece together what he is told. I am very conversant with the physical and cultural composition of the place now known as Lagos State, I know it so thoroughly from Seme border in Badagry to the edge of the delineations at Naforija area of Epe, from the edges of Abule-Egba to the Ocean lines of Okogbàdo in Ojo LGA and diagonally from Ilase and Ibese braces to Ikorodu. I am not kidding, I know Ìdólúwo Ilé, an Island and riverine area, the ancestral lands of the Idejo Chief, Obanikoro of Lagos situated in Ojo LGA from where he moved to the site on Lagos Island and got Lordship of the more popular Obanikoro lands off Ikorodu road. Let me tell you the little I know about Lagos State, the larger place now commonly and carelessly called Lagos. 1. Do you know that as at 1979 when Governor Lateef Jakande was sworn in as Governor of Lagos State there were ONLY FIVE (5) LGAs in the state viz. Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry ? At that time, Badagry LGA started from present Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA covering the present Amuwo-Odofin and Ojo LGAs At that time Lagos State was divided into the three (3) divisions of the Senatorial zone namely Badagry, Epe and Lagos divisions. The Badagry division cover from that Badagry up to present Alimosho LGA, Epe Division covered Ikorodu and Epe and the rest was Lagos division. 2. Let us break down Lagos State from the old templates. Believe me I am writing straight from my heart. BADAGRY DIVISION Badagry Town: It starts from the popular border town of Seme. There are many other towns there e.g Tọpó, Àjárá, Apá etc. They are ÈGÙN people who are under the general rulership of Aholu Menutoyi, the Oba of Badagry. They have been there for centuries Àgé Muwó Town: This particular town and others like Àràdàgún and Àjìdò are just next to Badagry. They are ÀWÓRÌS. I was with the Kábíyèsí of Àgé-Muwó just last year and he will tell you that his ancestors migrated from Ilé-ifé centuries ago. Ìlogbò Erémi near Àgbárá is the next major town and kingdom. They are ÀWÓRÌS. I have been there several times. After Ìlogbò Erémi is Adó- Odò. It is a very major Awori town. The Oba in that town bears the Olofin title synonymous with Ilé-ifé. He is very close to the Oba in Àgé-Muwó because their ancestors were related and did the migration together from Ilé-ifé. That was many centuries ago. Unfortunately and very unfairly the lands of Ado-odo like many other very important AWORI towns of Ọ̀tà, Ìgbẹ̀sà, Kétu, Àgbárá etc are listed under the geopolitical area of Ogun State but which in reality, to the stupid people living with us in Yoruba land, are classified under "Lagos". Along that line, coming from Àgé-Muwó to Orile-iganmu, there are major AWORI kingdoms such as Ọlọ́tọ̀, Oníjànikin, Oníbà Ẹkùn, Ọlọjọ, Osólú, Ọnígbànkọ̀n, Alámūwò, Oníbèsè, Onílásẹ̀, Onímọ̀rẹ́ etc. You have Ajegunle of Olùwá and Ijora of the Ojoras two of Lagos original Idejos chiefs. There are ancient towns in the riverine of Ọ̀jọ́ and Amuwo-Odofin like Ẹgàn, Ìsàgíra, Ẹsọ̀fìn, Orígele, Irewe, Ìyagbè, Ìdólúwo, Igbógò, Ọjota, Ibese, Ilase, ìréde etc On the Uplands there are Mushin, Itire, Isolo, Ikate, Ojuelegba, Èjìgbò, ìdímù, Egbè, Ikotun, Ijegun, Ẹgbẹ́dá, Akẹ̀sán, Orile-Agege, Ipaja, Abẹ̀sán, which goes to connect back with Ọ̀tà There is Onigbongbo in Maryland. You will be shocked to see that there are ancient villages preserved there because of the kinds of stories of today.....
