@authorizedpod Coscarelli came by the studio for some Ravager extras that I wasn't charging for, and he brought me his extra copy of the Phantasm novelization in trade - signed it too!
English

@GeneNash @TiedInFilm It's based on a screenplay titled "Sharon of Glencoe"
English

@TiedInFilm This book is based on the two-part pilot episode "Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii"
English

@TiedInFilm @VinSynPub The book lives in a slipcase and here is the cover when it's removed.

English

@IReadMoviesPod @ShawnRobare He's the reason I caved and finally added it to the collection!
English

@IReadMoviesPod @TiedInFilm That can't be right - Fletch was written after in 1974.
English

@TiedInFilm This is the alternate cover art under the sleeve (my favorite of the two).
English

@dukecullen @TiedInFilm The other book lists Australia/New Zealand pricing on the back. Like Terminator and Ghostbusters, there were separate novelizations written for outside of North America.

English

@TiedInFilm Why are there two novelizations of Capricorn One with two different authors? I thought there was only the Ron Goulart novel.
English

@TiedInFilm From the Richard J. Anobile obituary in Variety a few months back:
[He] pioneered the use of the movie frame blow-up technique to recreate entire films in book form, which he used on books about “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Alien” and “Star Trek.”

@reprobatepress @TiedInFilm We got the hardcover from your site back when it released!
English

@TiedInFilm You guys might be interested in this - though it's out of print right now. reprobatepress.com/now-a-major-mo…
English

@MisterCapone @TiedInFilm I recorded a blu-ray commentary for it at the studio yesterday and it inspired today's post!
English

@jrwells82 @TiedInFilm We only post novelizations here, this one written by screenwriter Dan Gordon.
English

@TiedInFilm Is this a movie novelization, or a book that the movie was based off of?
English

@swankmotron @pabl0hidalgo @rianjohnson Coincidentally, @rianjohnson was literally standing and looking through this novelization collection when you tagged him today. He commented on the single page, two-word chapter in the Gremlins book, and that Ghostbusters is surprisingly written in the present tense!
English

I feel like @pabl0hidalgo and @rianjohnson must have this on their shelves.

@IReadMoviesPod @TiedInFilm We only have a trade paperback copy of Grease 2 - I've never come across the mass market version in person.

English

@BritStereoColl @TiedInFilm The first film was based on an existing 1969 book.
English

@TiedInFilm No French Connection? 🤔
English

@acardi @TiedInFilm The sticker, apparently! I looked and both versions are 244 pages. I had read that later editions added the 2-episode novelization called The Cylon Death Machine, but this 'Special Edition' doesn't contain it.
English

@TiedInFilm Any chance of seeing that cover of Corruption please?
