Last night, Monterey Park became the first city in California to pass an ordinance permanently banning data centers.
The city council voted unanimously to declare data centers a public nuisance, and to "prohibit all data centers within city limits."

Maryland will become the first U.S. state to ban "surveillance pricing" in grocery stores. Grocers are starting to use electronic price tags that can increase/decrease the price of goods by using the customer's personal data, and Maryland thinks this should be illegal.

I haven’t used a developmental editor for 3 or 4 years, and AI has infested everything now. How can you be sure that a dev editor doesn’t use AI in their process at all?
