@pauljgilbert_ It’s like this across different professions too in psychology fields, there can be such a divide between research and actual practice.

For me one of the fundamental problems in our profession is that we have researchers who have never done psychotherapy, nor seen a client/patient who dictate and shape how psychotherapy should be done. This is our healthcare system and a reason why it frequently fails clients.
