AN OBSESSION 🩸 (1/2) In which Theo talks about his "studies," which he is vague about, since it's a bit of a faux pas to drop "these days I've been conducting horrific arcane experiments on bits of corpses -- what have you been up to lately?" into polite conversation.

@Linyaari He should really know about hubris and trying to defeat nature from all the gothic dramas he reads, but I guess maybe he thinks that doesn't apply to "real life." Little does he know he too is a fictional character who is about to FAFO.

@kwillowart How good to see this little ratman again❤️ Theo seems to be hiding his "work" from the other residents of the manor. It seems that necromancy is an unexplored field even in this world. Has any mage in the Old Kingdom ever managed to bring someone back to life?

@PedroLGalera You are sweet to wish that for him, but there's only one thing Theo's really good at -- self-destructing. (He's also pretty good at baking and sewing, but those are secondary talents.)

@kwillowart I have seen this comic, and I feel bad for Theo: he is so obsessed with developing his magic that it could be counter-productive. And in the last panel, I can see how stressed and scared he is. He really needs to stop giving himself such a hard time.

@big_bi_wolf While Ambroys does certainly care about being cool and fashionable, it's true he's also a massive hedonist, haha. Plus offering pleasure is a good way to get popular, his other main goal in life.
