*IMPORTANT* A lot of people are thanking me for calling the Bitcoin top at 126K, shorting the ZEC top, calling XLE and OIH before the war, and telling people to take profits right before the drop. I also called the S&P top while everyone else was still euphoric, because I track sentiment, not prices. I appreciate every one of those messages, but they all reminded me of something. Years ago, when I started, I didn’t have any of this. No private room, no help. I made expensive mistakes I could’ve avoided if I’d known the right people. The people who were already rich weren’t smarter. They just had better access, better info, better networks, better rooms. I kept asking myself why that access is only available to a tiny circle, when there are thousands of people who are dead serious about building long-term wealth. So I built The Assembly. A private room for people who think in years. This is not a course, not a signal service, not a “buy this today, sell that tomorrow” scam operation. And of course, members will be getting institutional-grade data daily. 37,000+ people joined the waitlist before we even opened. I didn’t expect that. But it told me the room was needed. The door opens in a few days. Join the waitlist if you wish to be part of it: intheassembly.com

Ouch… this hurt. Todd Blanche fumbles the ball. Blanche: The Epstein files should not be apart of anything going forward. Watters: Who was Epstein spying for? Blanche: Look, I don't know that he was spying for anybody. Nobody has ever said that. Watters: No!? You don’t think he could’ve been a spy for a foreign country? Blanche: I have no idea if he was a spy. All I know is that we do t have any evidence in the Epstein files — but there’s been only one President that has held Epstein accountable, Donald J. Trump. Nobody talked about the Epstein files for 4 years under Biden Watters: Okay. I'm not sure you totally get what people feel about that. rumble.com/v77zqbs-ag-tod…

Acting AG Todd Blanche says one of the DOJ’s top priorities is looking into Democrats receiving Millions of Dollars in Foreign Donations (ActBlue) Many will roll their eyes.. but at some point, the shoe will drop… and when it finally does, a lot of people will be going to prison for a very long time. rumble.com/v77zpvu-ag-tod…

I need advice. My wife is really good friends with a girl from work and come to find out she is MAGA. They’ve been hanging out a bit which is fine, but now I'm being asked to go out on double-dates with her hubs and I'm not hanging out with fucking MAGA. Am I being unreasonable?

@kybaskerville @ScottCircuitguy @MESportsOps @LearnToToad Corners of the frame, yes. Every lens in the world is sharper when you close the aperture down a little bit. But this photo is cropped and the composition is centred so it wouldn’t matter much here. The Nikon 14-24 is pretty good in the middle even wide open

My camera knowledge pretty much stops at the end of the film era, but... I would say yes. F stops indicate the size of hole the light has to pass through. Bigger holes are lower F numbers and they let more light through. But, smaller holes focus better. If you ever made a pinhole camera, you know you don't even have to focus it. If the hole is tiny, everything is in focus. Because the corners of the film frame (or the sensor) are slightly farther from the lens than the centre, it would make sense that a smaller aperture would keep the corners in better focus. This will be more noticeable when using cheap lenses. Good lenses will do things to compensate for this. I have no personal knowledge of why the photographer of this image used F4 instead of F2.8. Just a lot of camera nerdery here. 😜

In the old days, ISO 400 speed was good all around for everyday photography. We used ISO 50-100 for tripod mounted shots. 10 years ago, I was doing high school sports at ISO 3200 and 6400 to freeze motion in rather dismal high school stadiums (nothing like pro sports stadiums in terms of luminance.). That allows you to have much faster shutter speeds. 1 second at ISO 100 is .5 seconds at 200, .25 at ISO 400, .125 at 800, etc. ISO 51200 is just crazy sensitivity. You could light a large interior with a match or small candle and it would seem like daylight.

@silly_goose6767 @Stickboy1733 @ChrisLoesch @sentdefender The ai I’m asking would look for “tells” as to whether the image is fake or not. I assumed the answer it would give me was that the image is real and I was going to visibly scratch it out and write fake over it as a joke. Then Claude said the image was fake then from said real.

@Stickboy1733 @ChrisLoesch @sentdefender Asking ai if a pic is ai and then comparing its answer to another ai seems like a legitimate thing someone with a brain would do if they aren’t well versed in photography or image alteration/generation to help determine if an image is real instead of just trusting randomly

@ScottCircuitguy @LearnToToad Something a camera nerd would say but to be fair I could have just googled it but based on the responses, the camera nerds are a great bunch and I will consider joining the cult.

@kybaskerville @LearnToToad I didn't realise standard camera knowledge was "nerd" but those are appropriate settings for taking pictures of things in extremely low light.

@LearnToToad ISO 51200, F4, 1/4 second exposure. Try those same settings at night on the earth and compare.
