@AndyHermanNFL My only question - Rosenhaus and Jones should have known his value. If he would have gotten 7 mil from Packers (with paycut) or 7 mil from Vikings why not choose Packers then? Unless he was hurt by the continual paycut attempts.

Yep. My quick breakdown: 1. Gute & GB got the Jones valuation basically spot on. Whether it’s the right move or not we will see, be but Gute is not a villain here. 2. Jones has every right to play where he wants to play & given the choice I believe he would have preferred to be the guy in GB. Jones to me is not the villain here. 3. So who is the villain? Nobody. This is just business. And Packers fans should be used to this more than any other fans in the world. The losers in this deal: 1. Packers fans. Another kick to the dick to see an all time favorite Packer in purple and yellow 2. The Vikings. Minnesota is not on a Super Bowl timeline. Please keep spending money on one year mercenaries while Sam Darnold is your QB. 3. Aaron Jones’ chances of winning- Listen, he has every right to go to wherever he wants, get the most money, and be a starter. But Minnesota isn’t in a spot to win anything right now. And that sucks for Jones.

I'm not even saying the Packers were wrong. They clearly got his market value right!

@Bulls_Jay What confuses me is his creativity and attempts to improve team in 2021 compared to his total lack of effort the past 3 years. Again some of those moves didn’t pan out (Vuc, Lauri, etc) but at least there were attempts to change direction. What happened to that 2021 front office?

something i am curious about is what the threshold would have been to actually sell. Bulls are 24-27 and easily could be several games worse, but they have a handful of truly improbable wins, a number of other clutch wins and a great record against bums propping that up.

Would have way more respect for AK if he actually made more moves to improve the team in recent seasons, even if they were ill-advised. at least you would be trying something. this is nothing! just "being competitive" with the same roster and praying for something different.

@Bulls_Jay Tbh I am always bummed out that he isn’t more involved with franchise. Bulls really need to figure it out and get him involved even if that means shunning Pippen (or whatever the reason is that Jordan isn’t present)

@SBN_Ricky Still seems that Donovan doesn’t trust him to close games with ball in hand vs Demar/Zach which is a little frustrating due to his improved playmaking, shooting, shot creation. Was frustrated he didn’t have chance to lead team to win in regulation.

Coby's handle and relocation shooting development showed last year, but he was only playing 23 mins for a reason. This year has been culmination of his skill development + increased physical strength + game slowing down mentally. He's become a real leader, too. Hell of a player.

I still feel gobsmacked by Coby White's mid 5th year breakout. Dude has become one of the best spot-up threats in the league while also improving nearly every aspect of his floor game. The Bulls never develop anyone, and Coby's become a true stud almost of nowhere.

After Jordan Love nearly threw an INT, I was shocked LaFleur didn't just put Carlson out there. That was silly. And costly. And the Packers had better hope it doesn't loom large in the end.

@CodyWesterlund I think Drummond has earned more minutes anyways. It’ll be interesting to see if Vuc averages 30 mins per game even going forward.

@AaronNagler Positive energy and vibes are a huge part of team dynamics and success. It’s too bad the offensive positive momentum is being neutralized by the defensive mess going on right now.

The improvement in Bulls' offensive process since LaVine went out has been stunning. Vuc is shining as a passing hub: he's the best basketball brain they have, and his quick processing is setting up everyone else for open looks. Iso ball is out; this looks like real NBA offense

People who like ICED water don’t actually like water. You’ll get the illusion of a “quenched thirst.” If you TRULY liked water, you’d drink room temp. You can drink more of it, and will want to drink more of it to “quench your thirst.” Thank you for coming to my #TedTalk

@Bulls_Jay Zach, Coby, Carter, Craig, Pat (Vuc & Caruso to lesser extent) are all capable 3 pt shooters over 40% in careers. They have C in Vuc who can pass from post & Derozan who will pass to shooters. I do not understand how this team can’t get more 3 pt looks in flow of offense

the Bulls obviously do not need to be jacking up 40+ 3-pointers a night, but they should be capable of generating like 30-35 quality looks from deep per game, and the percentages should even out at some point. winning games taking like 20 3s per game is not going to happen.
Will Gottlieb@Will_Gottlieb

Bulls made 35% on 3s (6/17) = 18 points on 3s Pacers took 46 3s. Had they shot 35% on them, they would have scored 48 points on 3s Great win. But if we're talking about playing to a process, not starting games at a deficit, taking 30 fewer 3s is not the place to start
