can’t disagree more. worked at t-mobile for 5+ years and worked with every phone under the sun. 90% of issues and problems that walked through my door was bloatware/maleware on android. “jutter and jank” is very vague. can you give me some examples. i’ve been using ios devices for 10+ years and have never thought of anything as “janky”. the keyboard does suck, but that’s hardly just an ios issue. you can find a plethora of threads online of people complaining about android autocorrect. i’ve never opened up a fresh iphone and had candy crush ads displayed to me, my phone carriers bloatware, and other “services”. tech bros know to buy something like a oneplus or pixel for a pure android experience, but that’s not whats being pitched to everyday people in phone stores. oxygenOS is probably the best thing next to stock android, but it’s still android. not optimized, fragmented, and only good for the lifespan of that particular device. oneplus might not even exist in the next 5 years. we can disagree, but ios in my eyes is just a better, more consistent, more secure option.

It's not nearly as fluid or coherent as, say, OxygenOS. iOS consistently slows me down and the amount of jutter and jank is still present even in modern devices. Not to mention the absolute garbage keyboard and autocorrect (even without direct comparison). People don't realize just how bad it is until they step outside the bubble.
