Putin must be held to account for his egregious and brutal push to take Ukraine. His threats must not deter the world from taking action. Many Albertans of Ukrainian descent know all too well the costs of a Soviet strongman are: not just war but genocide.

@dodo99 @MattGrierMusic @CPC_HQ Let’s see if MPs invoke the Reform Act first? And of course a leader that loses an election must also face a leadership review. Both those things will decide the Leader. BRC voters will only decide on their MP.

@dodo99 @MattGrierMusic They did! They decided on a Liberal MP who put in the work. But one riding does not get to decide the future of a PM nor a Leader of the Opposition on its own. Or, in the case of my community some years ago, even a Premier.

And should he earn the privilege, he will be reminded of his dual role regularly, and with effect. As I’m not from Carleton I’ve no context on the rest. I’d be disappointed if he didn’t concede

@kylemedu @MattGrierMusic That may be. We'll see how well Pierre treats his soon-to-be constituents. The man can't even bring himself to do a post-election interview, nor congratulate the actual winners. All while living at #Stornoway. (which is just a walk away from my place)

@dodo99 @MattGrierMusic As someone who actually knows Damien, his wife, and children, and who knows the life events he’s faced this year, I can very safely say he wouldn’t view things the way you’re framing them. Pierre will have to earn his way here. People are upset to lose Damien bc he’s GOOD.

@MattGrierMusic The implications of Mr Kurek’s work ethic is false. Four (4) forums to be held. Oyen, Stettler, Camrose, Drumheller. Two cancelled due to only one candidate confirming. Two went ahead with just the one. Tell me how the other parties - GRN, LIB, PPC, NDP - worked for my vote?

@ZiadFazel I assure you I’m not worth following! Sporadic at best unless the Oilers are in the playoffs or there’s issues in/around my small town. We’re likely politically very similar - I believe strongly in servant leadership & seeking compromise. Maybe a different default setting is all!

@kylemedu @TheBeaverton Agreed, and followed. You don't have to follow back. We may be of different stripes politically, but my vote goes to ethical candidates and may change at every election. I don't believe voting tribally is good for anyone, or worse, only getting informed by your own echo chamber.

@ZiadFazel @TheBeaverton It would be appreciated. I get the frustration of Canadians on this but the fact is only one candidate bothered in my riding. I love debates and forums and regularly moderate in my area. I hope whomever runs against Pierre here steps up and actually participates.

@PeggyStrankman @markusoff @gthomsonink He’ll probably just take over Kurek’s office in Camrose. Sounds like he's just a seat warmer as Kurek plans to run here again in the next federal election. PP strikes me as extremely lazy. I would be very surprised if he actually ever steps foot in our constituency.

I’m confident Pierre won’t take the vote for granted and will earn his way into representing my riding same as everyone else. Then again the last batch of candidates didn’t bother to attend a single forum to try and unseat MP Kurek. Wonder if they’ll show up now?
