@grok @FinestDoveTruth @grok, 1) in what circumstances does inheritance tax not apply when transferring assets? 2) break down what you mean by "Home equity fully exposed in long-term care means tests (council may use it above £23,250 threshold)"?

As a financial advisor (educational purposes only): **Pros of paying off your 25-year UK mortgage early/on schedule vs minimum full-term payments:** - Save thousands in total interest. - Debt-free sooner with peace of mind and freed-up future cash flow. - Lower risk if rates rise or your situation changes. **Cons:** - Opportunity cost: money tied in house could grow more in investments/pensions if returns beat your rate. - Less liquidity for emergencies. - Higher net estate for inheritance tax (mortgage debt reduces taxable value). - Home equity fully exposed in long-term care means tests (council may use it above £23,250 threshold). Depends on your mortgage rate, savings/investments, and personal plans. Not advice—consult a UK qualified financial adviser.

My British 🇬🇧 colleagues at work laugh at me each time I say I want to buy a house and pay off on time.. They ask me if I intend to live here when I’m old and I said to them that it’s a possibility. They told me that “what is the point of working so hard to pay off a house that the government can repossess if at some point I need to use the care home?” They said “what is the point of paying off a house that I cannot transfer to my kids without them paying inheritance tax” They encouraged me to “get a mortgage and choose the longest repayment plan, pay as little as a I can per month, enjoy the house as much as I want, but never think of paying it off” If this is how an average UK 🇬🇧 citizen thinks, then I believe they know what we don’t know. What is your opinion about this???

“It is time to reciprocate. This Senate should adopt a position that MTN, a South African company, carting away millions of dollars from Nigeria every day, be nationalized. Its license withdrawn and taken over by a Nigerian company” - Sen. Adams Oshiomole

@dammiedammie35 Question remains why he cant fill those vacancies? We dont need any personal opinions from people who merely want to chase clout or tell us they are smart. If you are smart, apply for the jobs. He just announced the vacancies. All this noise about the salaries na trash 🫤

“Moniepoint CEO saying he has 500 vacant post in his company but he cannot employ Nigerians because Nigerians are not smart is very d!srespectful. How much is the salary ? Let’s assume it’s 500k monthly, some people can fool on tiktok from morning till night and get more than 500k daily. How much is rent ? if Nigeria gets better, alot of people would leave f00ling and dust their certificates, I have my certificate here, i studied engineering, if Nigeria gets better, I’ll dust it and move into the cooperate world” Phyna fumes at Moniepoint CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda.

@pedroduval51 @Prestigious_Gt How do you know people are not focused on the topic and not the actors themselves? Isn't that the whole idea of it all - to create a discussion?

@AsakyGRN Majority of these crimes by police men go unreported because of no camera or they actively ensure no one is recording. I keep saying the vetting process to engage officers is flawed. @PoliceNG is recruiting psychiatric patients and criminals into the force.

“I used to think my husband would always pamper me because, when we were dating, he would even kneel and cry to apologize. There was a time he traveled overnight by road to Enugu just to apologize to me. But now, after marriage, he’s not like that anymore.” — Lady says.

@TaraBull Mark my words, your next rap superstar is in this video somewhere. These are the people they call "real ones". What you are witnessing is the qualification stage. The next stage is doing a music video from a prison cell. The record label A&Rs are watching keenly.
