@lizleeships Word. (Dx'ed at 38 here.) One of the comforting things is knowing that I'm just as weird w/ meds but I'm a shitload less *awkward* I think how much one enjoyed GISH should be criteria for diagnosis. I was 1st on my team to be dx'ed- 3 confirmed & 2 awaiting appts from CM/NHS 😅

@gayest_tone TBF, if you lived deep in the suburbs -especially in the days before Pocket Internet- there's a decent chance that for some Millennials this WAS *the* bookstore. At least the only one that wasn't suspiciously close to a church. Miss me with Blockbuster nostalgia, tho.

One of my favorite millennial nostalgia things is people crying about how the major corporate brand that killed local shops isn’t as cozy as it used to be. Like Barnes and Noble WAS the bad capitalist entity. It killed local book stores. It was the problem.

Are we the only citizen activists who City Hall investigators assigned to LA's Ethics Commission have falsely accused of getting paid to engage in the historic preservation advocacy that we do on our own time and dime? Calling us LOBBYISTS is the biggest insult we can imagine!

@dustychipura Also, because if something has a place, I can find it. If it doesn't, or that place has no more room, it sits on the floor until a place can be made (again). Because if it's not in The Place or on the floor in a box, it might well disappear.

@dustychipura Even before I was dx'ed and medicated, organizing and decluttering was easy. It's picking the stuff up and putting it where it goes when, say, I went to bed and left a project out "but I'll get right back to it after I get groceries." (I did not get back to it.) 1/
