@LinusEkenstam 30% visualization and the rest monolog.. I also think @ylecun is a bit of on this. I have had this conversation with a lot of people, especially multilingual people, as it's been a general area of interest.

@kimmonismus I think he is a purist. Wants it all in a single model for it to be true AGI. Others, like me, don't care as long as it walks and talks like a duck. It's a duck! 🦆

@lexfridman @ylecun Fantastic conversation. I agree with pretty much everything @ylecun says. Regarding the higher level representation of ideas in the mind. I do not think this an exact science. I, for instance, do all my thinking as dialogues, with the occasional visual representations

Here's my conversation with Yann LeCun (@ylecun) about AI, importance of open source, limits of LLMs, why AI doomers are wrong, and the path to AGI. This was a fun and fascinating technical conversation! It's here on X in full, and is up on YouTube, Spotify, and everywhere else. Links in comment. The Handmaid’s Tale was a bit of a cultural touchstone even before the TV series, so I gave Margaret Atwood a try recently. I read Oryx and Crake first, and I just finished THT. I didn’t care for either of them, but they were t really aimed at me. I generally like dystopian and post-apocalyptic settings as environments for striving in fiction, but I don’t want to hear over and over how miserable, passive, and self recriminatory the characters are feeling. I want to hear how the world works and what they are doing about it.
