@NBCNews My MIL has advanced dementia, FIL has stage 4 cancer, and my dad requires a lot of care as well. A ton of our own time and $ is spent helping them, but I cannot imagine asking taxpayers to compensate that. It's not generational, it's a mentality.

@KSTP Democrats simply cannot accept even the notion of being denied. They believe they are the default party, hold ultimate control, and always have final say. Countering these beliefs is dangerous; in fact, deadly. Chins up ppl, and never forfeit your ability to protect yourselves!

@nicksortor So what? Their annual govt paycheck is just a weekend rounder for a lot of these people. They act like it's a favor, so honorably willing to forfeit earnings they didn't earn. Where would they be without the people who elected them, the people they mock every budget season.

@Rotpar007 @gman5180 My mom lives just north of Eureka Springs on the Missouri side. Gorgeous area. But yeah, services and amenities are hard to come by. And I need an Ativan to ride those back roads with her 🤣

@gman5180 I grew up living that, every winter visiting dad in the early 80's Ozarks. Eastern Table Rock Lake, camper trailers, eating what was shot that day. Nobody would be trans anything or afraid to find themselves if they had to live this for just a portion of their life. Sanity found

@KSTP After blowing through our entire $17B reserve and all but bankrupting the state in the last session, these people have no business making decisions for anybody. This state really has become a ridiculous freak show, run by a bag of hairy nitwits.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. All the "smart" Democrats are saying that the court should have addressed this issue before the election. But the Court says IN THE DECISION: "Thoughout this litigation, the Commonwealth (ie the Democrats) has insisted that we cannot lawfully decide this case prior to the referendum" Before the election, the Democrats *successfully* argued that "courts cannot interfere to stop any of the proceedings while this permanent law is in the process of being made" The Democrats WON the argument that the Courts MUST allow the election to go ahead without ruling on the constitutionality of what they were voting on Now they are complaining that the Court should have ruled on this case before the election. This is the most cut-and-dried case of intentional idiocy I've seen in at least a week and a half

To my American followers: Yesterday was local elections across England, Wales and Scotland, and the results have shattered the two-party Labour-Conservative status quo that held for a century. Starmer’s left-wing Labour Party has lost close to 1,100 council seats, while Nigel Farage’s Reform, a new party, gained over 1,200 council seats. The next general election for parliament is not set to take place until 2029, but this outcome makes Farage being prime minister a possibility if the momentum continues.

@AOC How many jobs in tourism did Airbnb support by offering housing options in the area?

Someone can certainly *make* a billion dollars. That’s not the same thing as earning. Growing fast and disrupting markets also often means chasing and wielding market power, political influence, and scale. Take Airbnb. They heavily lobby politicians against passing housing laws to protect working class residents because it’s bad for their business model. Airbnb could not exist at its current scale and size without the housing market destabilizations, displacements, and exploits that are supercharging the evictions of working people everywhere from Puerto Rico to Jackson Hole. Now young people are planning for a future where they will never be able to afford to own a home while others have 20 and live off renting it out to them at extortionate rates with zero protections. Yes, a tiny amount of people can make billions of dollars doing that. And millions of everyday Americans are bearing the cost.
Paul Graham@paulg

Sure you can earn a billion dollars. I've been teaching people how to do it for 20 years. The way you do it is to start a company that grows fast. You don't have to do anything bad to make a company grow fast. You just have to make something people want. paulgraham.com/ace.html

Fixed it for you... "So let me get this right… when the people decide, something is inherently wrong, but when dems ram through massive race based policy and spending at the behest of the handlers of an oatmeal minded corpse, there’s nothing to see and it’s perfectly ok. ALL ELECTIONS MATTER… these people have cheated themselves into power & have violated laws, constitutions, and most basic rules of decency & humanity, to continue to drag our asses deeper Into debt for freebies and fraud while expecting taxpayers to also fund everybody's food, housing, childcare, utilities, healthcare, and on and on and on! The dems and dixiecrats will continue to parlay that race card every opportunity they get until kingdom come."

ALL ELECTIONS MATTER… these people have cheated themselves into power & will violate any laws, constitutions, or basic rules of decency & humanity, to continue to drag our asses deeper Into debt for ballrooms while people can’t afford food, gas, or healthcare! The confederate states are for sure showing that they were never ridded of their racism.

I guess we'll see. And yeah, that is my message. Because I've been there too, and it was the actual economy, not my feelings. Guess what the solution wasn't... the newest iPhone, fake nails/lashes/hair, huge car payments, daily Starbucks, or any number of stupid spending decisions we're supposed to believe are necessities. I'm tired of hearing how hard life is from the same people TikTok'n about the misery of an 8 hour work day and how they can't use SNAP on fatty cakes anymore. Most could easily cut $1-2k/mo if it wasn't for their vanity and pride. When things are good, are they making bigger payments, stocking up, saving/investing? Are they meal planning, clipping coupons, or downgrading now, while they're suffering so much? Hell no. But hey, a bull💩 democrat talking point is a talking point all the same. Am I right, Blue?
