A winner is one who refuses to quit, even when it seems impossible. I’ve been reminiscing on whether or not to post this hand drawing I made for @thebeaksart inspired by @DKashtalyan. But then I realized that success belongs to those who refuse to quit. If @DKashtalyan had given up earlier, the 20 years of experience, hard work, discipline, and growth wouldn’t be visible today. Here is my contribution - not the first, and definitely not the last. This artwork was created with hope, belief, and faith. I was truly motivated by the great @DKashtalyan. CM: @ssheyii

most collections are defined by what the artist put in. the beaks is defined by what dima kashtalyan forced himself to leave out. here’s why that distinction changes everything. @thebeaksart @DKashtalyan

Most people discover an NFT project first and only later look into the artist behind it. With @thebeaksart I think the opposite happened for me. The more I looked into the art, the more I realized this wasn’t someone chasing aesthetics for attention, this was an artist with an identity that already existed long before Web3. What caught me first wasn’t even the characters themselves, it was the consistency. Every piece felt connected emotionally, visually, even psychologically somehow and that’s rare because most collections today rely on randomness to create variation. The Beaks doesn’t feel random at all, it feels intentional. Then I started looking into @DKashtalyan more seriously and honestly everything began making sense after that. You can immediately tell when someone spent years developing their own visual language instead of adapting to whatever trend is currently performing online. Dima’s work already had a pulse before NFTs entered the picture. His background in murals, pointillism, and surreal illustration explains a lot about why the artwork feels so textured and alive. Not “alive” in the exaggerated Web3 sense, I mean genuinely alive. The kind of art where the longer you stare, the more details begin revealing themselves slowly and not all at once. That’s probably my favorite thing about The Beaks, nothing is screaming for your attention. The collection trusts you to slow down and actually look and once you do, you begin noticing things: the expressions, the tension, the layering, the imperfections, even the silence inside certain pieces. It feels deeply human. A lot of NFT art today feels designed for speed, fast consumption, fast reactions but The Beaks almost feels resistant to that pace. You can’t fully process the artwork in two seconds while scrolling. It asks for more attention than that and honestly I respect projects that still believe art deserves patience. Another thing I noticed is how recognizable the style already is. Even without seeing the name attached, you can tell when a piece belongs to Dima. That kind of artistic identity takes years to build. Most artists spend years searching for a style that genuinely feels like theirs but the Beaks already feels rooted in one. And I think that’s what separates artistic direction from aesthetic decoration. A lot of collections know how to look “good.” Very few know how to feel distinct. There’s a difference. One disappears after trends change. The other becomes timeless because it was never built around trends in the first place. What also stands out to me is that the project doesn’t feel desperate to convince people. That confidence usually comes from experience. When an artist already understands their own work deeply, they don’t need to overexplain every detail to force emotional connection. The art already says enough on its own. I’ve seen people describe The Beaks as dark, surreal, emotional, uncomfortable, detailed and honestly, I think all of those descriptions are true at the same time. That’s what makes the collection interesting. Everyone sees something slightly different in it. Personally, I think projects like @thebeaksart matter because they remind people that Web3 can still make a room for genuine artistic identity, not just manufactured attention. And whether someone collects the artwork or not, I think the craftsmanship behind it deserves real respect.

Most people asking about “utility” for NFT’s are really asking: “When can I dump this?” NFTs have made one thing abundantly clear,,,, Culture > Fake Utility The only utility that has consistently mattered was access to: - New Projects - Good Alpha - Like-Minded People 🌱

What if your NFT actually needed you to survive? Most NFTs die after mint. Shellmates @heyshellmates wants yours to evolve. Here’s what I mean 🧵

This is my entry for the @thebeaksart art contest. I’m not much of an artist, but as a ballet dancer, I wanted to interpret Beaks Art through a more feminine lens inspired by movement, elegance, and dance itself❤️ @DKashtalyan @MartKAD @ssheyii @tessonchain
