Okay, you asked and I shall answer! One favourite title for every romance subgenre I’ve tried and loved. A thread: 1. A Wicked Kind of Husband by Mia Vincy - Historical Romance 2. Wicked Deed’s on a Winter’s Night by Kresley Cole- Paranormal Romance (1/n)

As a follow up, this is page 2/60 in this magnum opus. I will try and post page by page updates over the next decade or so that it will take me to finish this juggling Fellowship exams and my children.

I’ve taken up extreme cross-stitching AKA a Heaven and Earth Design cross stitch pattern. It’s a massive project that is going to take me years to finish and it’s strangely addictive. Here is my 1st page of 60 planned pages. This is 7300+ stitches of a total 420000.

Not me staying up way past my bed time (need to be up in less than 6 hours for a 12.5 hour shift) watching easy messy bun hairstyle videos knowing fully well that when I leave for work tomorrow my hair will still be in the same ratty ponytail.

In the history of my indulgences, of which there are many, I think the prize goes to me buying a new iPad just for stitching my extreme cross stitching projects. All the iPad has is the Markup app which tracks my progress. #NoRagrets

Decision fatigued from being night in charge. I have two more night shifts as the medical team leader in a bed-blocked, busy AF emergency department. I’ve done two so far and I need a massive break from it all. 😭

@masthminching I don’t know about the audiobook versions of it but Wings of Fire series! (Surely they will be just as good) They are amazing books written for that age group. My husband and my 7 yo read the graphic novel version of it together and enjoyed it.

Can someone, anyone, PLEASE suggest audiobook series for a 11 year old? If I hear one more Percy Jackson thing I will scream.

@gauravsabnis The first one is a large peacock that I started 18 months ago and it’s still a work in progress. The next one is a folksy symmetrical pattern. The last one is the one mid-size project I managed to complete last year.

Burnout at work is setting in again. I thought I just got over the one from the end of 2021. I don’t think I can sustain this work life forever. *goes back to cross-stitching*

Sunday nights, whether I’m working or not, always end with marathon laundry folding and cross-stitching into the oblivion.

@jtrebach Down here in Australia, we use 50% Glucose soaked in gauze. Works like magic both for prolapses and paraphimosis. I didn’t know table sugar was a thing! Also the replies to this thread has been magical all by itself.

if someone has a rectal prolapse that you are having trouble reducing, you can place some granulated sugar on the prolapse to osmotically draw out fluid and make the prolapse easier to reduce

Getting some cross-stitching time in before another evening shift. This project is a crazy idea of mine to do on Evenweave with grey red and black Sulky threads. If I take into account how much of time and money I spend on planning a project it is embarrassingly staggering!

Will be super eager to get home but will also sit for 30 minutes in the car parked in the driveway mustering up the energy to get inside said home.

This Monday has been great so far. I got to work out, help cook, cross-stitch and now I’m going to work a 10 hour crazy Monday Evening shift. Is my body killing me from the Pilates? Yes! Am I somewhat happy? Also yes!

The pandemic happened and I stopped wearing lipstick to work because PPE and who the fuck cares. However, I’ve decided to start putting some on even if it’s only for the 10 minute commute to work. It makes me almost happy to be going to work? (Trestique English Rose)
