Last night I went to photograph the MW over Malham Tarn, & then the Perseids. The former was ruined by light pollution & the later by cloud just as it was building. But on the way back to the car I was treated to a northern lights spectacular & even caught a meteor in the shot.

@ladyofthestream @JackPerksPhoto The Bugeilyn trout are not brookies Hannah. They just have dark fins/ tails, similar to the sonnaghan in Lough Melvin in Ireland.

I've been told of a couple populations of brook trout in wales and northern scotland something I must really try and track down at some point to film.

The Japanese Snow Fairy, is one of the deadliest predatory birds ever designed by, well, the Devil I assume! Its claws exude a terrifying 0.000000013 foot pounds of pressure, and its razor sharp beak can puncture nearly any light paper bag, if the bag is wetted first. Doom!

We have a established non native newt in the UK called the alpine newt from central europe with males having a bright blue and orange colouration.
