What was approved is awful, but you know what is worse? When the privileged population want to make you believe that democracy is about keeping their privileges rather than ending occupation and apartheid. Normalizing the denial of rights of the palestinian people has been at the core of the “pro democracy” demonstrations. Hopefully now the international community will wake up to realize that only freedom, justice and equality can bring democracy.
