zelda native port status. my bet is all mainline games could get a native port by the end of year. the decompile projects have been going for a long time, and they have mature tooling to reach 100% fidelity. all is left is to embrace coding agents for a massive speedup.

i like saros more than returnal. the roguelike elements are less prevalent here in comparison but gameplay, sound design & weapons are all better overall here returnal certainly is a better roguelike tho. story, bosses & soundtrack is a toss up for me

@JediJamanjax @GamingSinceNES If you lose to the first boss enough times it unlocks the modifiers to help. Sample size is a valid pushback but I think both games are in the hundreds of thousands of players which should be enough IMO.

@GamingSinceNES I agree the game is also more accessible. But it’s also just literally easier.

@lakerk The accessibility is the difference. Mechanically this game does a lot more and if you play without digging into those options and power ups you can feel the difference. You can practically out level every challenge here but you have more mechanics to toil with.

Is #SAROS easier than #Returnal? No. But the big difference is SAROS is FAR more accessible. SAROS adds new gameplay mechanics such as shield absorption and parrying that increase the skill expression of the game BUT with a skill tree and modifiers, you can make it feel easier.

In Saros you can switch between different firing modes using the shoulder button and pressure point system. I LOVE IT!
