@JamesKelly You should listen to Geoff’s podcast James - he reckons that the polls could be seriously under-reporting the voting intentions of the young. I was merely suggesting why this may be the case - “Aspiration” and not a race to the bottom with the status quo!

Miliband bluster can’t hide the fact that, unlike Norway, he will issue no new North Sea licences. Madness, since even the government admits we’ll need oil and gas for decades to come. Nor can he hide the fact that Jackdaw and Rosebank have been stymied by endless eco-rules supported by Labour and the Tories. What he won’t tell us — is he refining the applications to overcome these restrictions? Or is he hoping they’ll be knocked back again? In other words, does he want these two fields to produce oil and gas?

Another low wind day in the UK so the grid is currently importing 27% of its electricity from abroad. It looks as if gas is having to be conserved, much of which comes from - abroad.
