To be honest: the returns in the US Markets were always better. Check any period: 3,5,7,10,15,20 QQQ has always outperformed Nifty 50 (on USD basis). There are a few reasons why we as Indian investors never took US investing seriously:- 1) We were brainwashed by fund managers to always look at returns in INR terms. 2) There was always this narrative: fast GDP growth, 4Tr GDP, XYZ = is going to create unreal wealth for investors. Every media ran it 24*7. 3) Keep doing SIP campaign. The level of advertising on this was insane. Turns out: that money was systematically used to give early investors an exit on really bad businesses. Anyone who spoke was persistently shut down. We are technically bag holders, who will have to wait for better days ("Acche Din").

Not to boast. Want to clarify few things. When Rahul responded to my tweet, many immediately said I'll get new clients. After 2017, I thought enough and decided to retain only existing clients. Many well to do people persisted with me to take them as clients. I can definitely earn 10 times more. Become the largest individual distributor in the country. I said no. I've decent wealth and let it grow. That's good enough. Some mutual fund distributors have asked how to deal with VIP clients. Be it Rahul or any other VIP client, you can be your own only if you seek nothing. Stick just to professional process and have a nice general talk. I've interacted with Rahul lot of times in the last 14 years. I've never sought anything, even a smallest benefit from him. I'll stick to professional discussion. Then we'll some times chat about general things for a while. If you want to be respected and treated as equal, don't expect anything from anyone, more so with powerful people. This is possible only if you believe you'll get what you're destined to get. I've never done any networking in life, still know many important people in the society. There are lot of experiences and interactions with certain people which I cannot share in public domain. I strongly believe in Ramana Maharishi. These types of sickos are now writing the script of a film on our Ramayan. You can imagine what they will generate. Don’t have high hopes from it.

Anu Malik to Pritam Chakraborty. All of them plagiarize other people's tunes. Your favorite Bollywood film has plagiarized a few scenes if not the entire storyline. Those great entrepreneurs selling branded headphones and backpacks? They are no innovative gurus. They are importing and white labeling Chinese goods. Most apps are copycats of western apps. Indian LLMs are just local instances of DeepSeek. Even local Linux distros are just minor mods to extant distros. Genuine innovation in India is rare. Galgotias is just a symptom of a larger malaise.

So many cases of hit-and-run. Mostly teenagers driving expensive cars under influence of alcohol + new-money. Yet another symptom of the soft-oligarchy we’ve turned into that rich kids can kill for fun and get away because the politicians/courts are in their (Papa’s) pockets.
