@widmerkarl @vmwarevcf 🤷 I've never had issues ... only time this has come up would be if you're attempting to install ESX on USB, other than that, I've never had problems but newer method for ESA HCL is much simpler anyhow

@lamw @vmwarevcf It is strange because I always used the VIB and it worked like a charm, even with one of the latest setups I had a few wdays ago. I‘m currently setting up everything from scratch and trying the linked method.

The deployment of my @vmwarevcf #homelab repeatedly fails. "Failed to extract image from the host: an error occurred while re-creating VIB williamlam.com_bootbank_nested-vsan-esa-mock-hw_1.0.0-1.0." Maybe @lamw can shed some light here. 🧵/1

JFYI - New KB knowledge.broadcom.com/external/artic… to address VvsCompatibilityController controller failed with error message : Invalid VMwareProductVersion which was due to invalid VVS entry (change has been reverted but in case you're seeing it, quick workaround) #VCF9
