The thing that stands out most about the DNC speakers is that they’re normal people. Funny, smart, accomplished, exceptional people. But normal. It’s incredibly endearing and far more inspiring than stiff, creepy, fear-mongering, WEIRD RNC spokespeople & politicians.

NEW: California high school principal Robert Nunes suspended for "twerking" and giving an "inappropriate dance" with the school mascot. The incident happened just three days into the school year. Nunes was seen putting his hands on the mascot's chest before sliding them down. "What happens at Buhach stays at Buhach," he said, referring to Buhach Colony High School. The school district is now "conducting a comprehensive review of the situation." Nunes is not allowed to participate in any school-related duties/activities until the investigation is over. Some parents are outraged by the incident while others think the incident is being blown out of proportion. "I do not think that it’s right how much of like that he’s under such a huge investigation," one parent said.
