The people of Burco are slowly waking up—and that awareness matters. Change starts when citizens demand better, speak up, and stay engaged.
We need more voices, more action, and more unity. Burco’s future depends on its people stepping forward and making the difference.

I did compare them and rightly so. If Burco is considered the second capital and is the second biggest city why is there such a gap in budget and investment compared to Berbera and Hargeisa?
All I’m saying is simple: open Burco Airport for public use. That alone would boost trade, mobility, and local growth. Burco deserves fair development.
English

@landerfirst00 @Sacad987486 Berbera is the main port city and Hargeisa is the capital. Why would Burco be compared to those cities?
English

Burco is the second biggest city — yet still has no commercial flights.
Only private planes. No routes for the public. No access for the people.
Airport Manager Abdirizak Nur Arale and the aviation team need to explain why a city this large still doesn’t have a functioning airport.
Burco deserves real flights, real service, real development.

@landerfirst00 @AdamNyc But so far he did not get the mutual defense assistance but only a promise of anti ship missiles to be installed 10/12 patrollers the UAE agreed to fund.

Burco’s potential is being held back by structural issues: “red zone” restrictions, over-centralization, unfair revenue sharing, weak political representation, and neglected infrastructure.
Solutions are clear: decentralize services, reopen Burco Airport, reform taxation, invest in roads & public services, and strengthen accountability.
Reviving Burco means strengthening Somaliland’s future.

For years, Burco was neglected — but change is happening. Mayor Mustafe Calas is listening, holding real community meetings, improving security, and taking action against illegal dumping. Development starts with accountability and dialogue. Let’s keep pushing forward. #Burco #Development #Leadership

Burao isn’t just another city—it’s Somaliland’s strategic center. 📍
Positioned between East and West, and home to the Horn’s largest livestock market, it already drives real economic activity.
Upgrading Burao Airport into a fully operational hub—for both domestic and international use—isn’t ambition, it’s logic. ✈️

English

@landerfirst00 It will open soon. Sometimes Things take time, once we fix the set backs like the e-visa system.
English

@Sacad987486 Bro all I’m saying is open an airport that used to run already stop waffling bro
English

@landerfirst00 Can u give examples of somthing thr government invested in?? Everything comes from private money
English

@Sacad987486 Yes Burco needs roads factories Burco needs that but it’s neglected but other areas are focused on
English

@landerfirst00 There are far more important issues than an Airport. We need more roads. More factories. More eveything, u seemed to be have an obsession with one issue
English

@landerfirst00 I dont get what your point is ?? Do you even know what the total anual budget for Somaliland is?? Your acting like they have money? What have they built in other cities?? The locals and diasporrah built the whole country up from scratch. The government is broke.
