An ethical industry-wide safety framework is urgently needed for DeFi. Built collaboratively by teams from @ethereum @solana @trondao @BNBCHAIN @StellarOrg This new safety standard should Developed by the people who actually understand the stack to protect their users from huge losses. Not one protocol’s internal checklist. Not one auditor’s methodology. A shared standard covering how to build composable systems safely, how to configure bridge and oracle dependencies, how to operationalize threat intelligence, and how to assign accountability when integrated systems fail together. Another $3.5 million gone into thin air and This is the result we keep seeing. Exploits that everyone can explain, nobody needs to fix , no one is taking responsibility and the obligation disappears into the gaps between protocols. The Kelp DAO attacker needed one vulnerability in the bridge’s mint validation to generate $200 million in bad debt on a protocol they never directly touched IMO, The actions taken by @griffgreen yesterday and the @arbitrum security council shows decentralization is a theory and will open the doors to more hacks across board. Let’s be honest, The safety standards will exist either way. The only question is whether the people who understand this technology best will be the ones who write it or whether we wait for Brussels and Washington to write it for us.
