@peendie @ReleGlo @ladyhuneybee You are right yazi. I don't even judge anyone anymore. It's tough out here. Everyone is doing what they need to do for survival or prosperity.

@ReleGlo @ladyhuneybee At least they had a wedding celebration unlike the ones meeting at home affairs for the first time and being rewarded with a phone & R300pm

It took me a while to truly understand what it is that provokes me so deeply, but I’ve finally named it: Disrespect.
I’m naturally calm, warm, joyful, and open-hearted. I connect easily with people and can genuinely vibe with almost anyone...but the moment I sense deliberate disrespect, something inside me shifts. My peace evaporates, my patience dissolves, and that gentle, soft version of me sharpens into something far more guarded.
I know who I am. I’m a good woman. I'm kind, gentle, understanding and truly authentic. I lead with love and extend grace far more readily than most. That’s precisely why disrespect wounds me so profoundly, because I give so freely and consciously, I feel the absence of reciprocity even more acutely.
I love deeply and with my whole heart, but I will never again allow myself to become someone’s doormat. I refuse to pour endless respect, kindness, and patience into a connection that cannot reflect even a fraction of it back to me. Respect isn’t optional, it’s the bare minimum I now require.

@tshabaaa @KingMntungwa This will always be my gripe with men. Seeing a woman as trash but taking her in and then going crazy when all she expects is being seen and treated as a human being. Surely if you see rubbish in the street and think you are better than it you should walk on by and leave it alone

@Judaeda3 In Kimberley North (Kimberley) many were sold, but most of them were so old, it cost an arm and a leg replacing rooftops, ceilings, plumbing, mudbrick walls, and faulty electric cables connecting the houses ... It was a lot. But a real bargain early on (around the 90's).

@simsilwana @cmonama I have heard from people who know the next generation of leaders in the ANC and they all say the same thing - if we think the current crop of leadership is bad, the next are Satan's protégés.

Four protectors attached to the Mkhambathini Local Municipality have been arrested this week.
KZN police, through its Crime Intelligence structures, discovered the men were using firearms not registered to the municipality to carry out their duties.
This included providing close protection to the mayor and other senior officials.
Investigations have revealed the five guns in their possession belong to the Calvin and Family Group security company.
It appears that a contract of some sort exists between the company and the municipality - but instead of providing manpower, only guns have been supplied.
According to the SAPS, it amounts to a serious contravention of the Firearms Control Act.
The municipality says it enlisted the services of the private security company in January 2025, at a cost of R34 000 per guard - a decision influenced by security concerns.
However, the municipality pays the guards a salary directly each month.
Two weeks ago, a team from the SAPS national office conducted a scheduled firearms compliance check at the Calvin and Family Group head office in Durban North.
That process - which requires the officers to verify the existence and location of the company’s 857 firearms in various areas across the country - is still ongoing.
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority is also looking into the Mkhambathini incident, but would not comment further.
In light of the latest developments, the Mkhambathini Local Municipality has told @eNCA it will review the security contract and look at possible alternatives.
