Last night Ed Miliband whipped his MPs to vote against our motion to save the North Sea and British refineries.
He argued Labour’s plans to kill British production was ‘climate leadership.’
Meanwhile he was waiving sanctions on Putin’s oil.

After 18 months of “standing up to Putin” the Labour govt quietly issued a licence allowing imports of Russian oil refined in third countries.
Yesterday Labour MPs voted AGAINST UK oil and gas licences.
We are now importing from Russia instead of drilling in the North Sea.
Insane.

Leave the ECHR and repeal the Human Rights Act to secure Britain’s borders.
Scrap green levies and ideological net zero targets to deliver cheaper energy.
Hire 10,000 more police and increase stop and search to make our streets safe.
Restore the two child benefit cap, and face-to-face PIP assessments to get Britain working.
Increase defence spending by £50 billion, using savings made to the welfare budget to defend our country.
Scrap the 3% interest added to Plan 2 student loans and get under 16s off social media to help young people.
That’s what the Conservatives under @KemiBadenoch’s leadership would do.

@OgbeniDipo One thing I know about Nigerians is that Nigerians love money—if you pay at international rates, you’ll get international-standard work. There are Nigerians who have attended bootcamps here in the UK and are now at the top of their game, competing in cybersecurity, AI, data.
English

@OgbeniDipo Moniepoint has done an amazing job. A few years ago, Silicon Valley was also complaining about a shortage of talent, but they invested in developing a new generation of skilled professionals. What we need to do is fix the problem by creating bootcamps to solve the problem.
English

Tosin Eniolorunda and his co-Founder are Nigerian trained. All of the day one guys at Moniepoint are Nigerians and most of them are still with the company and doing very well.
Moniepoint employ, in total, almost 30,000 Nigerians. They are a top employer in NIGERIA 🇳🇬. They pay a minimum of 75% percentile of the market. Junior Developers earn N1M monthly. Most earn N3M and some earn N4M monthly. They have people who earn around N10M monthly!
Moniepoint remains one of the highest transacting companies in AFRICA. They are a world-class company. And if Moniepoint did not exist, Nigeria would have gone to CHINA, completely.
Tosin must have spoken from a place of deep passion and pain because human capital in Nigeria is low. I have tweeted about this several times as well. Yes, we have good talent, but when you look at the larger population of the country, we have so much work to do. This is a FACT!
By the way, Moniepoint has paid some employees a million dollar in stock options (IN CASH). And there are at least 15-20 people who work with Moniepoint in Nigeria who are dollar millionaires!
So, to say they underpay or they take advantage of cheap labour is redundant and lazy talk.
Again, criticisms should be fair and balanced. But Business Leaders should never shy away from shedding light on challenges across the country.
PS: MONIEPOINT HAS PRODUCED A GEN Z A BILLIONAIRE!! JULIAN DUMEBI DURU IS ALIVE AND WELL, AND HAS TOLD HIS STORY. He was a Product Manager, then a Software Architect, before the final promotion to Principal Engineer all at Moniepoint 👏🏽👏🏽.

@OgbeniDipo You honestly don’t need a university degree to be good in tech. Employers also need to focus on skills rather than degrees or which university you attended.
