Tonight was far more embarrassing for dems than Wisconsin was for Republicans.

@brithume Why are you a sore loser, spoogie?
Got crushed?
English

Sore loser on stilts. Disgusting.

From colleague Jessica Sonkin. Massie says he called Gallerin to concede. But says it “took a while to find Ed Gallrein in Tel Aviv”

@Ambrose1984BAS @RAMSR48 Don't get me started on the Tea Party. I was in the middle of it. Great fervor, great intentions, but they were such novices they didn't know how to build a coalition and govern.
English

@RAMSR48 @LarryWild2028 I remember during the waning days of the Tea Party that Tea P. backed candidate unseated the No. 2 Republican. Jefferson said we have Freedom when a Gov. fears the people. With pro-Republican redistricting, a massive R war-chest, *now* is the time to clean out the Aegean Stables.
English

@RAMSR48 I forget which pollster, because I really have discounted ALL polls now, but one on Monday had the race at 9 points for Gallrein, almost exactly the final spread.
English

@LarryWild2028 And GRIP baris put his flailing reputation touting masshole would win. What a GRIP.
English

@Sollozzo77 @Dysgruntledd Exactly. Same scenario in the Senate. Normally a MurCowSki or Yertle would be a nothingburger, but because of the narrow margins, you cannot afford to have a foxhole hero.
English

@Dysgruntledd @LarryWild2028 Think of it this way - if we had 240 seats, Massie would have been little more than an annoyance and there would have been no real urgency to get him out. Because of the slim majority, there was. And we did.
English

John "Can't Carry a Thune" just cleared another 49 Trump nominees in a single vote. Thune ain't good for much else, but he does get those nominees cleared.

@sbrammer97 @RAMSR48 I think you're missing the point Sam. He really DOESN'T want to cut. He doesn't want to DO anything. He wants a place to pose. If you gave him said position, he'd be worse than Jeff Sessions.
English

@RAMSR48 @LarryWild2028 He’s so militant on cutting spending (a worthy cause) I wish Trump could work a way to get him appointed long term head of DOGE or something like that. Give him an off ramp to leave a legacy in an area that we all support
English

@PalominoOMG Silly. No bitter feud.
The real winner, which you don't want to acknowledge cuz you're up the Masshole, is
DONALD J. TRUMP
Betcha $5 GOP registrations INCREASE next reporting period in over 90% of the states reporting.
English

@MLiamMcCollum Too late. He already lost, and the fascists and pro-Iran wings in the party---all five of them---already left.
English

@Dysgruntledd @6Transitz @2026Railfan Agree. I think Ike had some greatness in him, but like Trump had way too much Congressional opposition.
English

@LarryWild2028 @6Transitz @2026Railfan Both were great Presidents. Sad that only 2 that came after them can boast that.
English

Warren Harding is an underrated President. Won a massive landslide in 1920, stopped the League of Nations, ushered in the Roaring 20s, and brought Ellis Island mass migration to an end. We need more modern Republicans like him

HeritageBulwark@hbulwark1
Today in 1921 President Harding signed the Emergency Quota Act, the first U.S. law with national origins quotas. It limited immigration to 3% of each nationality’s 1910 U.S. population, the result? It protected Heritage Americans (Northern/Western European stock) and preserved the nation’s ethnic, cultural & racial makeup.
English

@DJPM6 No, not really. How long has government been shut down during that "year 2?" about six months total? So we're really into 1 full year.
English

@Sollozzo77 True, but it just got TWO seats less squishy, with Barr (KY) and Paxton (TX).
English

@LarryWild2028 The Republican Senate caucus is just too squishy. This isn't a caucus that is going to pass sweeping legislation or change filibuster rules to pass anything. They aren't built like that. Thune doesn't have a lot of power with as squishy a caucus as this is.
English

@ComicDaveSmith Please, Masshole, run for President and lose the way all Libertarian spoogebuckets do, with a whopping 1% of the total vote.
He'll be up there with Harold Stassen and Kanye West. Actually, I'd bet Kanye had more votes.
English

@PeterMcCormack No, he ain't a "good dude." He is an obstructionist piour poser who voted for Rutabaga's continuing resolutions, but found "principles" when voting against Trump and MAGA bills. A total Masshole.
English

@RandyGoat I hated Massie and Randy Paul for a LONG time because I cannot stand pious poseurs who vote for Rutabaga continuing resolutions, but suddenly discover "principles" to vote again Trump.
Pure evil spooge.
